DAY 1 IDEAS CREATION
By the end of this workshop, children will be able to use their creativity and practical knowledge to create their own product made out of recyclable materials.
In this workshop, children will learn:
- The importance of recycling
- What is meant by recyclable materials
- How to use their knowledge and creativity to build a product (toy / accessory / others)
- How to test their product
- How to improve their product
Children will bring home the product they have created.
Students are encouraged to bring used, cleaned material that can be made into an art project, such as:
- Cardboard boxes
- Plastic bottles
- Bottle caps
- Used A4 papers
Materials will also be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own.
DAY 2 PHOTOGRAPHY FOR DIGITAL MARKETING
By the end of this workshop, children will be able to take nice photographs of their products.
In this workshop, children will learn:
- How to market their product
- How to take photographs of their products
- How to improve the photography of their products
Children will bring home their digital photos.
Students are required to bring their own digital camera OR smartphone (with camera) and their products made in Workshop 1 (optional).
DAY 3 DIGITAL DESIGN AND MARKETING
By the end of this workshop, children will be able to create digital flyers using free online software.
In this workshop, children will learn:
- How to market their product
- Basic flyer design skills
- How to use online software to design their flyers
- Do’s and don’ts of designing flyers
Children will bring home their digital flyers.
Students are required to bring their own laptop with Internet connectivity and the photos they took in Workshop 2 (optional).
DAY 4 VIDEOGRAPHY AND YOUTUBER
By the end of this workshop, children will be able to take videos for social media.
In this workshop, children will learn:
- How to market their product
- How to take videos of themselves and their products
- How to edit their videos
- How to talk and to present themselves
- Do’s and don’ts of taking videos
- Keeping themselves safe on the Internet
Children will bring home their digital videos.
Students are required to bring their own smartphone OR digital camera + laptop (for video editing) and their products made in Workshop 1 (optional).
Students are required to have their own video editing software (the inbuilt software with Microsoft or Mac is sufficient. If they do not have their own, a link to free software will be provided).
DAY 5 WEBSITE DESIGN
By the end of this workshop, children will be able to design a landing page for a website.
In this workshop, children will learn:
- How to market their product
- How to design a website page
- How to create a website page
- Do’s and don’ts in creating a website
- Keeping themselves safe on the Internet
Children will bring home their digital website page.
Students are required to bring their own laptop with Internet connectivity and the photos, flyers and videos taken in Workshop 2, 3 & 4 (optional).
- Parents will be asked to sign a consent form for us to upload the photos, videos, flyers and websites that their children have designed in order to showcase their children’s work.
- A mini-competition will be held after Workshop 5 to see who gets the most “Likes”! Free entry for all participants of any of the workshops. The winning child will get a prize worth RM50. Participation allowed only upon signing consent form. (Minimum 5 participants)
